Yes. Interviews can be audio/video recorded. However, you will need to include this information in your consent form so potential participants are aware they will be recorded. 

If your project is expedited or full board, we have a separate form title “Audio/Visual Recording Consent Release  Form” that you need to upload as an attachment to your protocol, along with an informed consent.

If your project is exempt, we have a template Research Participant Notification form with Audio/Visual Language that has template language in the form, without requiring signatures. This will provide participants of exempt protocols the required consent information, without collecting signatures. You should edit the language to fit your protocol. For example, if you are not video recording, you can edit the paragraph and remove all references to video recording.
