Nearly all drones must be registered. Only those drones that weigh .55 pounds or less (less than 250 grams) and are flown under the Exception for Limited Recreational Operations do not require registration. Drones over .55 pounds that are registered under the Exception for Limited Recreation Operations cannot be flown under Part 107. 

All University-owned drones must be registered with the FAA. Drones flown on property owned by SIUE or flown for University-related activities or business fly under Part 107.  Registration will be done by SIUE (not yourself).
