SIUE offers two vibrant communities for upperclass students, each designed to support academic success, social connection, and independent living.
Cougar Village
Cougar Village is located just a short walk or free shuttle ride from the main campus. It features 496 student apartments across 62 buildings for single students, graduate students, and families.
Apartments are fully furnished, air-conditioned, smoke-free, and available in two- or three-bedroom layouts with options for
- Shared, private, deluxe bedrooms (based on availability)
- Deluxe apartment bedrooms (based on availability)
Cougar Village fosters connection through social and academic programs and is home to the Transfer Living Learning Community.

Evergreen Hall
Evergreen Hall offers apartment- and suite-style living with the feel of a residence hall. Most floor plans include private bedrooms, and residents enjoy access to a fitness room, meeting spaces, community kitchens, and a multifunction room.
Evergreen Hall fosters connection through social and academic programs and is home to the Honors Living Learning Community.
