Attendance is mandatory!
- If you are planning to live on campus, please consider the ideal arrival dates (Monday, January 6th and Tuesday, January 7th) carefully when making travel plans to the U.S..
- The mandatory International Student Check-In for Spring arrivals is required for all new students; more information will be sent to your email. You must complete the check-in as soon as you arrive in the U.S.. Students who do not complete the check-in after arriving in the U.S.. will not be registered in SEVIS and can lose their immigration status. A local United States physical address will be required for the check-in. The check in form will be available on December 9, 2024.
- SIUE I-20/DS-2019 with your signature and date (NO electronic or digital signatures/dates will be accepted)
- Passport photo page (whole page, not just picture)
- Visa

Graduate Assistant Orientation
All students with graduate assistantships, including teaching, research, and general assistantships, are strongly encouraged to complete the online GA orientation. Graduate Assistants can access the online GA orientation at any time by using the link provided on the New GA Information Website.
The GA Orientation is designed to provide information relevant to GAs working in positions across campus in a variety of capacities and will ensure that you have the information necessary about your GA benefits and responsibilities to be successful in your position.
