With the familiarity of being in both faculty and student roles, she has a unique perspective on the development of courses. Hannah FlattInstructional DesignerHannah entered the instructional design field after 8 years as a high school teacher. In that role, she also provided learning technology support for both teachers and students in her district, which fostered a desire to pursue a career in instructional design. In 2019, she earned a Master of Science in Education degree in Instructional Technology from SIUE with a focus on Instructional Design and Performance Improvement. Sarah LauxInstructional DesignerSarah earned an M.A. in Student Personnel Administration and a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Saint Louis University. She has over 15 years of experience in student affairs and higher education, including classroom and online instruction. Her specific interests include experiential learning and the intentional design of curricular and co-curricular opportunities to enhance learning, engagement, and holistic development of students. Laura MillionInstructional DesignerLaura earned a Master of Science in Education from SIUE with a focus on Instructional Design & Performance Improvement. Her professional experiences include web design, graphic design and multi-media development (digital, audio, video, and photograph). She has almost 30 years at SIUE, having started in the Audio Visual Services department, moving “across the hall” to the Faculty Technology Center, and now working with IDLT in the basement of Lovejoy Library. Pamela WilliamsInstructional DesignerPamela is an experienced educator and student in both online and blended classrooms. Her career has focused on higher education, educational technology, and adult education. She earned her bachelor’s degree at Vanderbilt University, and master’s degree in Human Resource Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Education at the University of Missouri, St. Louis. Her research interests include adult literacy, diversity, and instructional design.
