Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s Chancellor James T. Minor, PhD, was featured on “Coach’s Corner” with Matt McGill and Coach Jay Eck on WVON in Chicago on April 2, 2026. During the segment, he discussed SIUE’s recent men’s basketball achievements and the evolving landscape of Division I athletics.
Dr. Minor highlighted SIUE’s first-ever NCAA tournament appearance last year and the momentum generated by two consecutive winning seasons, despite injuries to key players this season. He emphasized the positive impact of the basketball program on both the University and the local community.
