It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year
Perhaps you've picked up on the fact that Halloween is indeed my favorite time of the year? Perhaps. Regardless, once again, I am encouraging you to join the Pumpkin Decorating Contest! Carve a jack o'lantern! Or paint! Or bejewel! Or draw! It doesn't even have to be a real pumpkin! Digital art, clay, fabric, or anything that says pumpkin and has been turned into a jack o'lantern or other neat art is eligible!
From the 10th through the 26th, submit your pumpkin on Suitable. Bonus points (both Suitable and in my heart) awarded directly for bringing it in to the office for display during the month. Voting will take place on the honors Instagram page from the 27th through the 30th. Winners announced on the 31st. In keeping with the season, there will be mystery prizes both for participation and for top pumpkins.
Don't have access to pumpkins or art supplies? For De-stress Thursday on the 23rd, there will even be a chance to paint tiny pumpkins in the library! Double points!
Ian will eventually shower us with more Christmas than you can shake a stick at, so let's be spooky while we can.
In other news, we have some very, very important advising announcements, and some great events this week. Read on!
