Application Introduction
We are happy to offer a concentrated, efficient, and purposeful alternative to the regular general education at SIUE. We believe that we offer a unique program, not just here at SIUE, but compared to other collegiate honors programs as well. We hope that you'll consider applying to join our program.
We offer several different pathways for students to enter our honors program. Details for each unique population can be found by following the links on the left. Please be sure to follow the pathway that most aligns with your experience, since the application changes based on your own circumstance.
As you prepare for your application, you know know in advance that we embrace an holistic view of your entire application. As you'll see, we have some stated minimal academic standards. But those are not absolute requirements; they are guideposts, an easy way to gauge your potential for honors-level work.
We review every application that is submitted, regardless of test score or GPA. We encourage any student who is close to our application standards to apply. If you are slightly below our standard GPA, and missing a secondary credential by a couple of pionts, or a couple of hours, you should apply. We also provide a pace on the application to explain any extenuating circumstances and why you would be a good fit for the University Honors Program.
