Question, Persuade, Refer Suicide Prevention Training Available
The Illinois Department of Public Health has approximately 20,000 QPR Suicide Prevention Trainings available for individuals working with college students and youth in Illinois. Through a partnership with ECHO-Chicago at the University of Chicago, the QPR Gatekeeper training, a self-paced online training that takes about 1 hour to complete, is being offered at no charge through December 31, 2024. Be There Certificate
Through SIUE's partnership with TimelyCare, students, faculty, and staff are able to earn the Be There Certificate. Participants can learn to support someone struggling with their mental health through this online course created by Jack.org in partnership with the Born This Way Foundation. Visit betherecertificate.org and click on the "Take the Course" button at the top right corner of the page. At the login page, click on "Create an Account." You will need to use your siue.edu email address to be verified to access the training.
