Visiting Students
Visiting students can apply online. Visiting students who wish to transfer their credits from SIUE back to their parent institution MUST converse with their advisor at their parent school to make sure the SIUE classes will be accepted. Visiting students are not assigned an advisor at SIUE, so they must rely on the parent institution for guidance on course selection. To register, please contact the Service Center at 618-650‑2080 or servicecenter@siue.edu.
Dropping A Class
Students who find it necessary to drop a class may do so via CougarNet up until the date class begins. Once a class begins, students must send an email from their SIUE email account to servicecenter@siue.edu. Emails to the Service Center should include your name, University ID number and the course being dropped. If you simply stop attending, you are not withdrawn. It is your responsibility to drop any class you do not intend to take or complete. Visit the Registrar website for more information.
Academic, Technical and Personal Support
Your e-ID is the username you will use to log in to your SIUE email, Blackboard and CougarNet (you can also use your student ID number to log in to CougarNet). Check your SIUE email for important communication. You will use CougarNet to register, pay your bill and more. SIUE offers a variety of support services to help you succeed.

Parking & Directions
Current Students
If you already have a parking permit for the 2024-2025 academic year, you don’t need to purchase a separate summer permit.
Visiting Students
You can purchase a summer 2025 parking permit for $55.50. Once you have registered for summer classes, you can buy your permit online or in person. Parking Services is in Rendleman Hall, room 1113.
