SIUE East St. Louis Center for the Performing Arts Summer Enrichment Camp
The SIUE East St. Louis Center for Performing Arts Summer Enrichment Camp provides students an opportunity to experience and enjoy the arts in the forms of music and dance. Students will work to improve their ability in music and dance, as well as to develop confidence, stage presence, and teamwork.
Class offerings will be taught by trained professionals with a long history of working in the arts and will include:
- Dunham Technique
- Modern hip-hop
- West African dance
- Ballet
Music offerings will be instructed by skilled musicians from the Metro East and will consist of:
- Piano
- Voice
Students will also engage in production aspects of the final performance (selecting a theme, choosing costuming, contributing to the set/stage design), and experience cultural enrichment through field trips to various museums and theatres. The summer experience will be capped off with a performance for family and friends on Friday, July 11.
Ages/Grade Levels: Students ages 7-17
Dates/Times: Monday-Friday, June 2-July 11, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. each day
