María Camila Rodríguez
María Camila Rodríguez (violin, viola) began her studies in the music training program at the National University of Colombia, where she learned the Suzuki method. In this program, she performed Oskar Rieding's Violin Concerto, Op. 35, as a soloist with the orchestra. She completed her undergraduate studies at the National University of Colombia with Leonardo Federico Hoyos and later took classes with Leonidas Cáceres, concertmaster of the National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia. She began her teacher training at the Suzuki festivals in Colombia under the guidance of teacher trainers Eduardo Ludueña and Marilyn O'Boyle.
She has taken masterclasses with Santiago Medina, Sigiswald Kuijken, Ingrid Zur, Philippe Quint, Ala Voronkova, Nikki Chooi, Hannah Perowne, among others. She was a member of the Women's Philharmonic Orchestra and the Youth Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra (groups belonging to the Bogotá Philharmonic Orchestra). During the 2023 season, she was part of the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra of Colombia, with which she toured Europe, accompanying Hilary Hahn and Andres Orozco-Estrada. In recent years, she has taught violin, viola, and early childhood musical stimulation using the Suzuki methodology within the music training program at the National University of Colombia.
