Welcome to the SIUE Hispanic/Latinx Faculty and Staff Association (HLFSA)
The SIUE Hispanic/Latinx Faculty and Staff Association (HLFSA) was organized to provide support, advance the interests, and promote the welfare of Hispanic, Chicano, Afro-Latino and other faculty and staff at SIUE regardless of race/religion/nationality. Its purpose is to promote a sense of community and professional welfare amongst its members and community at SIUE.
We define Hispanic/Latinx as any person of Hispanic or Latino origin. Hispanic or Latino origin includes people of Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, Central and South American, Dominican and other or unknown Latin American or Spanish origin. People of Hispanic origin may be of any race. This reflects the diversity within our community.
