Meet the Vice Chancellor
Joe Lataille was appointed SIUE Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration (VCFA) on August 18, 2025.
Lataille brings over 20 years of experience in strategic financial leadership and operational excellence across mission-driven organizations to SIUE. Throughout his career, he has led complex organizations through growth and change with a focus on aligning operations with long-term strategy; including major reforms in budgeting, human resources, facilities management, and public-private partnerships. He joined SIUE from Radio Free Europe, a media broadcasting organization, where he currently serves as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance.
As Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration at SIUE, Lataille is a key partner in advancing the University’s mission and strengthening our operational foundation and financial stewardship. He also manages several critical university functions, including Administrative Services, Facilities Management, Financial Affairs, Planning and Budgeting, Human Resources, and the University Police.
