International Admission Application Deadlines
Deferral request deadline: September 15, 2024
Students who were admitted for the Fall 2024 semester and wish to defer their admission to Spring 2025 must submit a request by September 15th via e-mail at intladm@siue.edu.
Early Application Deadlines for Scholarship consideration:
Early applications are encouraged, and students planning to apply for certain competitive scholarships must apply early to receive consideration.
- To be eligible to receive an invitation for the Meridian Scholarship, undergraduate students must apply by November 1st for the Fall 2025 semester. Please review additional requirements here.
- To be eligible to receive an invitation for the Competitive Graduate Award, graduate students must apply by December 1st for the Fall 2025 semester. Please review additional requirements here.
Priority Deadlines for International Students in STEM and Business Programs:
The priority deadline for Spring 2025 is October 1st, and for Fall 2025 is April 1st.SIUE may not process undergraduate or graduate applications from students outside the U.S. after these dates. This deadline applies to programs in STEM or Business related fields, including Information Systems, Computer Science, Biology, Chemistry, and all engineering disciplines. Prospective students should apply before the priority deadline to receive full consideration.
All other applications are processed on a rolling basis and once seats are filled for a particular program in a particular term, additional applicants may be denied admission.
Transfer students:
Later deadlines may apply for students who are currently in the United States on a valid student visa and wish to transfer to SIUE. Please contact the Office of International Admissions for more information.

Prospective students should submit an application by the priority deadline to guarantee full consideration. All STEM designated program applications will close at the priority deadline. Applications received after the priority deadline, but before the final deadline, will be reviewed only if space remains available in the program of study.
Summer term is only available for Intensive English Pathway (IEP) students. If you wish to apply for a summer start with the IEP please contact the office of international admissions at intladm@siue.edu.
