Video Services
Video Services is the commercial production unit of the Department of Mass Communications. We produce video and audio projects for internal and external clients, from concept through completion. Projects include commercials, promotional videos, web content, documentaries, and educational and instructional media.
Services
Pre-Production
Client meetings, research and planning (focus groups, etc.), scriptwriting and editing, administrative work, and preproduction coordination (scheduling crew, talent, locations, etc.).
Production
Field Production
Director/camera operator, crew, HD camera, tripod, lighting, audio and grip equipment. Includes travel, setup, single-camera shooting, and tear down.
Studio Production
Director, engineer, crew, and use of the department's television studio and control room for multi-camera shooting. Includes setup and tear down.
Additional Production Charges
Extra cameras and operators, talent (including hair, makeup, costumes, and props), craft services, and other related costs may apply.
Post-Production
Footage ingest, editing, effects, titles, graphics, color correction, in-house music, and final delivery in your preferred format.

Additional charges may apply for specialized graphics and effects, licensed music, and voice talent. Time-and-a-half rates apply outside normal production hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday). Clients must conform to SIUE studio standards and practices, existing schedules, and contract commitments.
