SIUE possesses a wide array of talent and expertise and is a valuable resource for the bi-state area. The IUR is a gateway to University resources and can help you build a powerful team for your next project. We can engage the appropriate faculty members, manage your contracts and facilitate billing and subcontract needs on a fee-for-service basis.
Data Analysis & Collection
We have the capacity to collect and analyze data in both qualitative and quantitative fashions, manage significant size data sets and prepare them for your specific project applications. Our researchers have access to many robust data bases - census data, economic data, property data - and can readily access more to meet your specific project needs.
The IUR has collected and analyzed data for multiple clients, including economic development impact for a regional governmental unit, compliance reporting for a United Way agency, and feasibility of new taxing methods for a local nonprofit.
Grant Writing/Management
The IUR collaborates with the grants managements staff in the SIUE Graduate School and assists SIUE faculty insubmitting external grants. We also provide grant writing and grants management services on a consulting basis for local government.
The IUR provides grant writing and grants management services for a Metro East municipality on a contract basis.
Program Evaluation
How do you know if your program is effective? We can work with you to gather practical and relevant information and conduct program evaluations for your nonprofit or governmental entity.
The IUR is working with the State of Illinois to identify evaluation needs for a federally-funded program it administers as well as assisting with the evaluation of a major health outreach program for a Metro East educational institution.
Project Management
For a project to be successful, all aspects of the project - resources, time, money and scope - must be managed effectively. Our staff has demonstrated ability in project management and oversight of complex programs. We have access to and can engage SIUE faculty and external professional sources to supplement our team when necessary.
The IUR works with a local government in Metro East to help manage an EPA grant that the city could not implement alone.
Research Design
From conceptual design to usability testing and evaluation, IUR research associates are experts in research design and have provided research design assistance for campus faculty, University contracts and outside agencies.
The IUR is part of a team that will design evaluation metrics for a regional non-governmental organization's multi-year work plan.
