Third-Party Authorization
Students
Follow these steps:
- Visit Pay My Bill and select Student Login.
- Click Student
- Enter your student email and password.
- First time Student login must complete set up, including security questions and hit save.
- On the Overview page, click on authorize payers.
- Click Add New.
- Enter the payers information and click save.
- A registration email will be sent to the payer.
Parents
Parents and third parties follow these step:
- Read your email message which will contain a registration link
- Create your username and password. Do not use your email address as your username.
- Enter your personal information (First name, last name, and email.) Only one email address can be entered in your profile.
- Select your authentication questions and provide your answers.
- Click Save.
- Set up Multi-Factor Authentication.
- Once you have completed the registration, sign out.
If making a payment immediately following registration, please completely close your browser and wait about five minutes before you log in to Pay My Bill.
Parents and other third parties with multiple students attending SIUE will have a different user name for each student.
If a third party forgets their password, the third party can use the forgot username/password feature to reset their password. To do this, the third party will:
- Go to siue.edu/paymybill
- Click on Authorized Payers/Third-party Login
- Click on Forgot username/password
- Enter username/email
- Enter verification code from the email notification
- Reset Password
Third-party
- Authorize a third party for eBilling. Granting this will give the third party the ability to view the student's account information on CougarNet. The student will need their SIUE e-ID and password, go to Pay My Bill and select 'Student Login'. After logging in go to the Parent Pin section and follow the steps listed Third-Party Online Authorization instructions.
- Authorize a Proxy (Third-party) users. To authorize various SIUE offices to speak with a Parent or Third Party regarding your personal information via in person, phone or email, the student must authorize them as a proxy user in Cougarnet. For in depth instructions on how to do this, please visit student records.
My employer requires a paper bill to reimburse me for tuition and fees. You may print a copy of your bill from Cougarnet (select Student, Student Account, Account Detail for Term). All pertinent billing information is provided on this web page. If your employer needs additional information or has questions, please have them call SIUE Bursar's Office at 618-650-3128. You may also request a certification of your tuition and fees.
