September 2026 Employee of the Month - Zee Bellemare
Please join SIUE Campus Recreation in congratulating Zee Bellemare on being selected as the September 2026 Employee of the Month! This achievement is especially notable because it marks Zee’s second time receiving Employee of the Month honors with Campus Recreation.
Zee began working with SIUE Campus Recreation in February 2025 and currently serves as a facility supervisor. Zee is pursuing a degree in mass communications with a minor in studio art and anticipates graduating in May 2027. Zee hopes to pursue a future career in media production or a related artistic field.
Outside of academics and Campus Recreation, Zee is involved with the Ceramics Club and has gained valuable experience through an internship with WSIE 88.7, The Sound.
In Zee’s free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, watching anime, reading manga, playing games, and watching movies with her dad. Zee especially values spending quality time with the people she cares about and believes that the simple things in life are often the best.
When asked why she enjoys working for Campus Recreation, Zee highlighted the amazing team and the positive environment created by coworkers. Zee shared that having such a great team makes coming to work enjoyable and fun.

August 2026 Employee of the Month - Seth Echevarria
Congratulations to Seth Echevarria on being selected as SIUE Campus Recreation’s August Employee of the Month! Since joining campus recreation in July 2024, Seth has consistently demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and a strong commitment to serving the SIUE Fitness Center. He currently serves as a facility supervisor, where he has embraced his responsibilities and quickly established himself as a leader.
Seth is pursuing a degree in Geography with minors in Meteorology/Climatology and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and is expected to graduate in May 2027. His career goal is to use GIS technology to analyze and address environmental and social challenges. Outside the classroom, Seth is highly involved on campus as a member of Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society, president of both the Geography Club and Weather Club, and secretary of the GTU Honor Society.
Seth enjoys spending his free time playing acoustic and electric guitar, weightlifting, riding bikes with his family, and playing video games.
Seth has done an outstanding job in his role as a facility supervisor, consistently leading by example and providing exceptional service to everyone who visits the fitness center. He values the opportunity to connect with a diverse range of people and credits his experience with helping him grow as a leader. His positive attitude, strong work ethic, and dedication to the department make him a deserving recipient of this recognition. Congratulations, Seth, on this well-earned honor!
