Student Fitness Center Features
- Five hardwood multi-purpose courts for basketball, volleyball, badminton, or pickleball
- A multi-purpose court for roller hockey, soccer, futsal, tennis, basketball, or volleyball
- Two fitness and strength rooms with state-of-the-art strength and cardio equipment
- Free-Weight Room with equipment for beginners to advanced lifters
- Bouldering Cave for rock climbing
- Two group fitness rooms for classes and drop-in use
- Cycle Zone for group cycling classes and drop-in use
- A 1/8-mile Mondo ® rubberized Indoor Track overlooking the courts

Vadalabene Center Features
- An indoor pool
- A rock-climbing gym
- Two racquetball courts, one that can accommodate Wally Ball
- Table tennis/ping pong parlors
- A group activities room with a padded floor, a speed bag, and a heavy bag
- Locker/shower rooms, each includes a dry sauna
Who can use the Student Fitness Center?
The Student Fitness Center is largely paid for by students – for students.
Only the following groups within the SIUE Community can obtain a membership to the SFC.
- Currently enrolled (SFC fee-paying) SIUE students may use the SFC at no additional cost.
- SIUE alumni graduates can purchase a membership
- Current SIUE faculty, staff, and retirees can purchase a membership.
- Although other individuals are not permitted to purchase a membership, all students and members are permitted to bring 1 guest (fees apply) with them to the SFC.

Facility Reservations/Rentals
(Rec Plex, Indoor Pool, Fields, Pavilions, Climbing Gym, Courts, and other areas)
- SIUE departments, student organizations, and others must receive permission and reserve facilities through Campus Recreation by downloading the Facility Scheduling Form. Print, fill out all sections that apply to your event and get signatures. Bring the completed form to the Reception Desk at the Student Fitness Center.
- Scheduling for SIUE student organizations and departments is available through the EMS reservation system or you can call the Campus Recreation Department at 618-650-5822.
- Other individuals/groups should contact the SIUE Educational Outreach at 618-650-3210.
- All rental groups are required to clean up and properly dispose of all trash from outdoor fields and/or pavilions.
- Groups are expected to follow all facility policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Any group found not complying with facility rules will be charged for all direct costs to remedy problems and may not be allowed to rent/reserve the facility in the future.
