Cougar Lake Recreation Area
The Cougar Lake Recreation Area is a beautiful, elevated peninsula that is nearly surrounded by views of Cougar Lake. This is a common area for walkers and hikers to include as they travel on the adjacent Delyte Morris Trail that also incorporates The Gardens at SIUE.

Fishing - Fishing is allowed in Cougar Lake, but a valid Illinois fishing license is required.
Boating - Boating is prohibited except for University-owned watercraft during University-sponsored events.
Swimming - Swimming or wading is not permitted in Cougar Lake.
