Campus Safety Policies
SIUE Safety and Emergency Procedures offer details for situations ranging from medical emergencies and bomb threats to natural disasters and crimes in progress. Evacuation procedures for those with disabilities are also spelled out. There are detailed procedures for specific buildings and the Alton and East St. Louis campuses.

Drug / Alcohol Policy
The Annual SIUE Security Report includes the University’s Drug/Alcohol Policies. The report also provides information about alcohol (and other drug) health risks in addition to drug education and counseling resources. Workplace policies and resources for alcohol and substance abuse are also available at the links below.
Identity Theft Prevention Policy
As required by the FTC's Red Flags Rule, SIUE has established and will maintain an Identity Theft Prevention Program. Information on the SIUE prevention program is available in the Policies of the SIU Board of Trustees.
Missing Student Policy and Notification Procedures
SIUE's missing student policy and notification procedures to be followed when an SIUE student has been reported missing for more than 24 hours are available at in the Annual Security & Fire Safety Report.
Social Security Number Policy
The use of Social Security Number (SSN) as an identification number within SIUE is limited to those uses permitted by law. To protect the privacy of persons whose SSN is collected, all University offices follow procedures in the University Collection of Social Security Numbers Identity-Protection Policy.
Vaccination Policies
SIUE follows the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's recommendation for immunizations. Specific requirements and information for vaccinations and health insurance are published on the SIUE Health Service information page.
