Since graduating from SIUE in 2020, Shervonti has developed a strong foundation in crisis intervention, psychological assessment, and diagnostic support. She specializes in working with students navigating trauma, interpersonal relationship concerns, and neurodivergent experiences. Whether she is helping someone process a difficult life event or adjust to the complexities of neurodiversity, her focus is always on building trust and creating a safe space for expression.
Shervonti continues to value crisis work, recognizing the importance of being present during life’s most difficult moments. She sees this as an opportunity to remind students that their struggles are temporary—and that they do not have to face them alone.
She first joined SIUE Counseling and Health Services as a graduate practicum student in 2019 and returned as full-time staff in 2021. Prior to her return to campus, she worked as an intake specialist at a private mental health facility in central Illinois, conducting crisis assessments and facilitating psychiatric admissions across the state.
Throughout her career, Shervonti has worked with individuals of all ages and backgrounds. She is passionate about helping students identify meaningful goals and connect with resources—both on and off campus—that support their growth and well-being.
