The overall cost for attending the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine's Graduate Endodontics Program is very reasonable compared with similar graduate education programs throughout the country because of the moderate tuition and modest cost of living in the Alton area.

- Tuition and Fees are subject to change.
- Graduate Endodontic residents are required to purchase equipment and instruments. Equipment and instruments purchased by a resident remain the resident's property after graduation. In 2022, the cost of equipment and instruments in Year 1 was ~$21,000. Residents purchased the following: Global “A” Series Optics, TruJaw Surgical Model, a Sony Camera (suitable for stills and streaming video), and a Global Surgical Surgeon’s chair.
- Tuition and fees for the summer semester add an estimated expense of $8,582 to the total expenses for the Graduate Endodontics Program for each year of the two-year program. Summer tuition and fees are included in the table (above) for your reference.
- Annual average living and personal expenses for the Alton, IL area are $15,496.
