Controls and PLC Lab
Under the guidance of Dr. Andy Lozowski
The Controls and PLC Lab offers hands-on experience in automatic control experimentation. Students can develop practical intuition by observing their designs in action. From simple on-off tasks, interfacing with the sensors and actuators, up to state-machines with timers and power-assisted devices, the lab setup emulates practical issues encountered in the real world. With Schneider PLC's running Modbus interface and Corsair HMI, the experiments expand toward ethernet-based control and data telemetry.
