The Industrial Engineering (IE) Department has a fast growing history of excellence in educating the next generation of industrial engineers and educators while providing new solutions for industry through innovative research, collaborative projects and hands-on experience in our state-of-the-art facilities and labs. IE, which is accredited by the Engineering/Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, has been a unique program offering IE BS and MS Degree in the School of Engineering.
IE’s objectives are mainly to build a strong foundation for the development of a professionally competent and versatile industrial engineer. The labs and research centers spanning from manufacturing processes and systems to product design, production planning and control, supply chain management, motion capture and analysis, and healthcare services/systems engineering within IE help address some of the most pressing challenges facing society today as IE focuses on improving efficiencies and processes across all sectors of industry around the world.
