IE Senior Class of 2025 shines at their Senior Design Presentations
Posted April 30, 2025
On April 25, 2025, Industrial Engineering seniors presented on the semester of work they did during their senior design class. The class of 2025 got real industry experience as they worked on projects for an industry partner, Gasket and Seal Fabricators, owned by Chris Peterson, located in Sauget, IL.
There are 6 seniors who will be graduating in 2025. These seniors split into two groups to work on separate projects for Gasket and Seal Fabricators. The first group to present, (from left to right in the top photo) consisted of Mirella Eldridge, Amanda Miller, and Gabriela France Flores Guevara. Their project involved applying Lean Manufacturing principles to recommend process and organizational improvements.

The second group to present (bottom photo), consisted of Jacob Deien (left), Pedro Henrique Gonzalez Moro Fagundes (right), and Justin Crow (not pictured). Their project involved applying facility planning techniques to optimize the space usage of the existing facility. Both groups gave excellent presentations summarizing their work in collecting relevant data and analyzing it to determine practical solutions for the company. Congrats again to the IE class of 2025!
