Megan Heisler
When Megan Heisler transferred to SIUE to major in computer science, she set about to encourage other women to consider careers in computers. As vice president and founding member of the Women in Computer Science and Computer Engineering student group, she seeks to break down stereotypes and get women involved in computer science. “We want them to realize this is not a man’s field,” she said. “With so much flexibility and variety of jobs available, this is an awesome field for women.”
