K-12 Visit Opportunities
The faculty, staff and students in the SIUE School of Engineering look forward to reaching out and engaging students of all ages to share our enthusiasm in the engineering, computer science and construction fields. Some of our recurring events include:
- Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day – Members of the SIUE Society of Women Engineers (SWE) hosts students from grade 5-8 for a daylong event that offers exposure to the field of engineering. Participants complete activities covering the breadth of fields across the School of Engineering. Professional women engineers and SIUE students participate in the event to provide support and guidance.
- Summer Camps – Each summer, the SIUE School of Engineering hosts high school students for our Summer Camps. Students are introduced to various engineering disciplines, computer science, and construction management through hands-on laboratory activities, design contests, and field trips and experience college life.
