School of Engineering Summer Camps
The goal of the School of Engineering summer camps is to introduce various engineering disciplines, computer science and construction management to high-school students through a set of activities that are fun, challenging, and thought-provoking. Students will have the opportunity to learn about how engineering impacts our lives through participation in various hands-on laboratory experiments and design contests.
Sponsorship for the 2024 SIUE Engineering Summer Camps is provided by Phillips 66 Wood River Refinery.
2024 School of Engineering Summer Camps will be day camps, offered in two identical sessions from 9am to 3pm.

Session 1: June 3 - 7
Session 2: June 10 - 14
Application Procedure | Camper Information
Eligibility
High school students interested in science, technology and engineering are encouraged to apply.
Supervision
Students will be supervised during all academic and recreational activities.
Insurance
All participants will be provided with limited Camper's Medical Benefit Coverage during the program. Coverage will provide benefits for necessary medical treatment of accidental injury up to the policy maximum.
Group Pictures
A commemorative group photograph will be provided to each participant.
Program Cost
The fee is $250 and includes lunch and all necessary materials and supplies. A limited number of scholarships are available for students who can demonstrate inability to pay the full cost of the program. For more information regarding scholarships, contact Dr. Gordon at cgordon@siue.edu.
Application Procedure
The application deadline for the 2024 Summer Camps has now passed.
The deadline for receipt of application forms is May 24, 2024. Students selected for participation will be notified as soon as their application materials have been approved.
For priority admission decisions, students are encouraged to apply by April 1, 2024. Students applying by this date will be notified soon after their application materials have been approved.
Students requesting financial aid will be notified shortly after the cutoff date for applications.
