Safety Training Programs
Safety and Environmental training programs are designed and tailored to support all positions across the University. The Safety Training Specialist will register each employee for the appropriate training courses as required by their job functions and description. Courses offered include online and/or in-person instruction and may cover general and/or specific policies and procedures related to occupational safety and health as well as environmental protection within any workplace. To ensure safety goals are followed, all researchers, staff, and visitors at all campuses must complete safety training commensurate with any and all risks or hazards associated with their involvement in university laboratories. Training is managed through esafety.com or presented by EHS.
Respiratory Protection Policy
For those employees where wearing a respirator is required as part of their daily job functions, annual qualitative respirator fit testing is offered by appointment. Please message envisafety@siue.edu for more information.
