Description: |
Assessing what students know can be a much richer (and more engaging) experience than a simple formula of "read, test, repeat." In this workshop, we will talk about what it means to assess authentically, discuss some potential approaches, and redesign a few sample assessments to align more with "real life."
Topics covered:
* Key elements of "authentic" assessment
* Problem-based learning, projects, service and experiential learning
This workshop meets the Assessment requirement of LCT certification.
