Welcome to the Center for Faculty Development and Innovation
The CFDI is a space inside Lovejoy Library for all SIUE faculty (non-tenure track, tenure-track, tenured, clinical, full-time, part-time, emeriti) to attend faculty development events such as Book Clubs, New Faculty Orientation and Onboarding, Midweek Mentor, Writing Groups and a wide variety of workshops. Faculty can participate in online presentations, workshops, discussions, and trainings in our virtual space and can use the Center as a drop-in space for grading, working, and collaboration. The Teaching Peer Consultant program, Pedagogical Observers, Emeriti College office, and the Research Peer Consultant program in conjunction with the Graduate School are all housed within CFDI.
The mission of the Center for Faculty Development and Innovation is to facilitate access to a wide range of development opportunities for faculty as they build their careers at SIUE. Our focus areas include the teaching and learning experience, research productivity and grant writing, mentoring, work/life balance, serving diverse populations, leadership development, and career advancement.
