Description: |
We have talked a lot at the university about changing the way we are teaching and learning to meet the needs of today’s and tomorrow’s learners. This book club will mine Twenge’s book for important insights into what we can learn about the I-Generation – kids who have grown up in a world where the smart phone has always existed. There is no denying that there are dramatic differences in those of us raised before this digital revolution and its natives. Rather than feel hopeless about that divide, the aim of our study will be to gain insight into the difficult realities as well as strengths of this generation. Come join us to reflect and brainstorm about what these mean in our own departments and classrooms. |
