Some of the first steps when transitioning your course to online are learning the standards of a quality course, making authentic activities and assessments, aligning the learning activities and assessments with the course objectives, and composing the syllabus and rubrics. Setting this foundation is critical for creating a student-centered course.  Many of these steps are useful even if your course will be in traditional or hybrid formats.
