Description:
- In support of the SIUE 5-pillar Strategic Plan, the Office of the Provost is sponsoring a book club on Becoming a Student-Ready College: A New Culture of Leadership for Student Success (2022) by Tia Brown McNair, Susan Albertine, et al.
- CAS Associate Dean Tisha Brooks, Assistant Professor of Social Work Aidan Ferguson, and Instructional Designer & Equity Advisor Pamela D. Williams will co-facilitate the 3 sessions combining their experiences and perspectives working as faculty, staff, and administrators in higher education. Together we will explore questions such as, "What does it mean to be a student-ready institution post-pandemic?" and "How can we work collectively across our varying roles and locations at the university to meet the changing needs of our current and future students?" This book club is open to faculty, staff, and administrators with an interest in supporting student success and closing equity gaps.
Facilitators: Aidan Ferguson (Social Work), Pamela Williams (IDLT), and Tisha Brooks (CAS)
