Description: Metacognitive skills—such as planning, monitoring, and evaluating one’s own learning—are essential for academic success and lifelong learning. In this Midweek Mentor session, we will explore evidence-based strategies for fostering metacognition. Participants will examine practical methods to engage students as partners in identifying learning goals, selecting effective strategies, and reflecting on outcomes. Participants will leave with concrete tools and university-wide resources to promote self-directed learning.
