Operating Papers
This committee serves as the Graduate School liaison with relevant other bodies of the University.
I. Functions
A. Examine and regularly review, and revise as needed, policies and priorities that concern:

- graduate courses and programs
- graduate students and graduate faculty
- scholarly activities and support
B. When applicable, recommend to the Graduate Council new policies and priorities regarding A.1, A.2, and A.3 above.
C. Nominate qualified graduate faculty to serve in the following committees according to established procedures:

- Research and Projects Advisory Board
- Research and Development Committee
II. Membership
A.Voting Members

- Seven Graduate Council members (including at least one student and one Executive Committee member), one of whom is elected by the Graduate Council to serve as Chair
- Non-Council graduate faculty members not to exceed five
B. Resource Members: Graduate School staff
III. Selection Procedures
The Executive Committee of the Graduate Council makes committee assignments.
IV. Other Procedures
Other procedures not delineated herein will follow the operating papers of the Graduate Council, excepting those that pertain to open meetings, as the Opens Meeting Act does not apply to this committee.
