MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS – Applicants should be admitted to a graduate program in the School of Business, Engineering, or applied Mathematics, and possess three (3) or more of the following: • Proficient in programming with Python, R, Java, and/or C# • Creating and/or interpreting ERDs and applying database normalization (i.e., to 3NF) • Hypervisor experience, VM creation, or coursework or professional work experience in telecommunications/networking • Writing intermediate to advanced SQL statements • Working familiarity of data analytics, visualization, and statistical analysis • Proficient with advanced Excel functions PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS – Preference will be given to applicants demonstrating five (5) or more of the minimum requirements, or who have 3 or more of the following: • Two plus (2+) years of industry work experience in information systems after having completed an undergraduate degree • Intermediate to advanced Excel Certification from a widely recognized organization • Programming proficiency in two (2) or more languages besides those listed above • Hands-on experience with enterprise system software including SAP, Salesforce, or other widely known ERP and CRM software • Web-development experience using HTML/CSS/PHP or other software development tools • Proficient creating and/or interpreting process models (i.e. DFD, use cases) and with software development methodologies (i.e. SDLC, agile) • Experience with project management concepts • Experience with intermediate to advanced data analytics including visualization, statistical modeling, and/or machine learning.
Assist faculty with current courses - duties may include: tutoring students; grading; developing instructional materials, and other duties as assigned.
