Looking for a GA Position?
Follow the steps listed below if you would like more information on how to find a GA position at SIUE.
- Make sure you are eligible. Before applying to a GA position, read through the information on this page to make sure you are eligible. If you are a new incoming graduate student, you may begin applying for positions after you are approved for admission by your intended graduate program.
- Talk to your Graduate Program Director. Many graduate assistants find a position within their own unit or school. Check with your GPD and inquire about an open position before applying to one of the postings below.
- Apply to a position listed on this page. Graduate students that meet the GA eligibility requirements may apply for any type of open GA position. Click on the posting for more information on the qualifications for the position you are interested in. Submit application materials directly to the hiring unit and contact the individual listed on the bottom of the posting if you have any questions. If the position requires an employment application, you can find one on the Graduate Student Forms page.
- Check this page for updates. The listings on this page are posted as the Graduate School is made aware of new positions and is updated frequently, especially leading up to a new term.
Positions labeled as "Continuous Recruitment" are listed for hiring units to collect a pool of applicants that may be used for a future term. Because the hiring unit may not have an open position at all times, applicants should refrain from contacting the hiring unit regarding hiring decisions. Hiring units will initiate contact with applicants being considered for future openings.
