Qualifications

Applicant must be a first-year graduate student. Successful candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, follow directions, be able to successfully multi-task with frequent interruptions, and exhibit the cultural competence required to provide exceptional service to international and study abroad students. Must be proficient in MS Office and Canva.

Position Description

Provide general office assistance to staff at the Office of International Affairs and exceptional student service to international and study abroad students by fostering a welcoming front office environment. Duties include staffing the front desk, answering phones, maintaining the International Affairs website, providing basic and accurate information to international and study abroad students, completing various administrative tasks (i.e. international student check-in assistance, SSN application processing, data entry), leading/assisting with projects as assigned (i.e. International Student Mentorship Program, New International Student Success Series), updating social media pages, assisting with the planning and execution of international student events, training/managing student ambassadors who volunteer during international student orientation. Assist with other tasks as assigned. Responsibilities may occasionally include weekend hours.
