Experience with video and photo editing software

communications, film, or related fields.

The Graduate Assistant for Media Production supports the Office of the Chancellor by creating, editing,
and organizing digital media content for official communication, events, and public relations. This role
provides students with hands-on experience in video production, photography, graphic design, and
media strategy in a professional administrative environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Video and Audio Production:
-Assist in recording, editing, and producing video and audio content for campus announcements,
interviews, events, and promotional materials.
-Set up and operate cameras, lighting, and audio equipment during shoots.
-Edit raw footage into polished, professional content using editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro,
Final Cut Pro, Audacity).
Photography and Visual Content:
-Photograph official events, meetings, and campus scenes as needed.
-Edit and organize images for use in newsletters, websites, social media, and publications.
-Maintain a digital archive of multimedia content.
Graphic Design and Content Creation:
-Assist in designing graphics for digital platforms, presentations, and printed materials.
-Help create engaging visual content for the Chancellor’s social media or communications team.
-Ensure consistency with campus branding guidelines.
Event Support:
-Provide technical support during live events, including livestream setup and operation.
-Assist in capturing behind-the-scenes media for university documentation and storytelling.
-Because the events may take place outside of traditional business hours, this requires flexible working
hours that may occasionally include working events in the evening or over weekends.
Administrative and Team Support:
-Help organize and track media project timelines and deliverables.
-Maintain equipment inventory and ensure proper storage and care.
-Collaborate with communications and administrative staff to meet production needs.
