Qualifications

Completed Bachelor's Degree by August 2025.
Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
Ability to work independently.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to present to large groups of people.
Interest in student recruitment and enrollment
management in a higher education setting.
Undergraduate and/or graduate coursework in
communications, PR, college student personal,
leadership, counseling, or other related area is
encouraged.
Experience as a campus tour guide or previous
student work/volunteer experience in enrollment
management or student affairs is a plus.

Position Description

Graduate Assistants in the Office of Admissions
work alongside Admissions leadership, including
the director of admissions, associate director
of admissions, senior assistant director of
admissions, and assistant director of admissions
to support critical recruitment and yield
functions of undergraduate, domestic students.
These positions will support engagement and
outreach efforts to prospective students through
phone calls and emails; provide admissions
presentations and campus tours; answer inbound
calls from prospective students; meet with
prospective students to answer questions about
SIUE; coordinate with other campus offices
related to campus visits and events; provide
training for student work team; provide event
coordination and day-of support; complete
data entry and reporting projects; and provide
additional support functions as needed.
