Qualifications

Must be admitted to a graduate program.
Graduate GPA must be 3.0 or higher.
Must possess strong written and verbal
communication skills.

Position Description

The Communications/SIUE Newsroom division of
SIUE University Marketing and Communications
seeks a graduate assistant who can handle the
following responsibilities: social media writing,
developing and posting, as well as article writing
and researching. Our ideal candidate is an
overall content generator, who is also able to
handle occasional filming with our department
equipment. Strong writing skills are key.

samples (articles or school assignments) and a link
to online graphics work or photography.
Please submit a cover letter (required).
The cover letter should include the following:
Current area of study
Overall summary of experience in earned media
List of three news sources from which the
applicant consumes news.
