Applicants must currently be working towards a master’s in mass communications or related field. Applicants must be enrolled in a minimum of 6, but no more than 12 credit hours per academic term for fall and spring. Applicants must maintain at least a 3.0 grade point average.
The SIUE Department of Mass Communications seeks a graduate assistant for Spring 2025 who can help create a monthly podcast with SIU System President Dan Mahony as the host. This graduate assistant will be responsible for working with the president, the SIU System executive director of marketing and communications and mass communication faculty to come up with podcast episode topics; screen and arrange interviews; record, edit and produce the podcast with SIUE equipment; collaborate on a promotion plan for the podcast; track and grow the podcast audience; and help coordinate video elements when needed for the podcast. Other duties may be assigned.
