This position will assist the staff of Online Services and Educational Outreach related to expand our broad array of print and social media marketing initiatives with an emphasis on research tasks related to marketing. The position needs to be filled by a graduate student with highly specialized knowledge, training and expertise pertaining to integrated marketing communication research. The OSEO GA will work in a variety of areas of our office, including supporting both our credit and non-credit community engagement endeavors by providing marketing analytics utilizing Tableau, Search Engine Optimization data and obtaining metrics from the Meta business suite and utilizing a suite of productivity tools including the Adobe Creative Suite and Canva. Assist with social media campaigns with the development of dynamic video content for all social media platforms, including the creation of authentic content focused on specific OLDC, Corporate Partnership and non-credit experiences with brief program profiles, video testimonials, did you know segments, etc. Work to create new advertising avenues including blog postings, and expand into new platforms, such as TikTok, while focusing on enhancing support of SIUE’s rebranding efforts.
Responsibilities include: collaborating with staff to create and monitor the success of social media marketing campaigns, creating baseline reports of current social media engagement across all social media accounts; administering surveys and analyzing collected data; researching current social media trends to ensure we are engaging in best practices; analyzing weekly engagement on social media accounts and engaging with those utilizing social media (both internally and externally); compiling weekly, monthly and annual engagement reports for internal and external use; researching and writing articles around OSEO Social Media use for internal and external audiences; assisting with the coordination, editing, and publication of OSEO social media needs, including catalog content, website maintenance and updates, multimedia production, workshop materials, emails, promotional screen content creation, press releases and newsletters; and managing OSEO’s digital presence and offering insights to improve community engagement. Additional tasks include working with faculty, staff, students, community members and partners to support OSEO.
