Supervision/management experience strongly preferred. Strong organizational, communication, customer service, and leadership skills. A valid driver's license is required.
The Graduate Assistant will support daily operations, student employment, community programming, customer service, and marketing and communications at the Wyvetter H. Younge Higher Education Campus/SIUE East St. Louis Center (located in East Saint Louis - transportation not provided at this time).
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise a cohort of up to six student workers, including scheduling, monitoring assignments, and coordinating with WHYHEC campus units on the various efforts of the student worker cohort
• Staff and supervise two welcome desks on the WHYHEC campus.
• Support WHYHEC community programs and events that engage the SIUE East St. Louis campus community.
• Provide customer service by answering phones, assisting with space reservations, and directing visitors to services and campus locations.
• Assist with marketing and communications, including social media, flyers, and website content.
• Perform other operational and administrative duties as assigned.
• May operate a university vehicle as needed.
