When a SURS 6% bill is received, the Human Resources department reviews the employee’s earnings history to determine if there were eligible exclusions. If so, a response is prepared explaining the increase so that the amount is not owed or may be reduced. If there are no eligible exclusions, the bill is forwarded to the appropriate department for payment.
