Amy serves as both Responsible Officer (RO), advising J-1 students and visiting scholars, and as a Designated School Official (DSO), advising F-1 students. She also oversees international student retention initiatives at SIUE. Amy has enjoyed over 15 years in international education as a returned Peace Corps Volunteer, university ESL instructor, and international student advisor with experience in immigration, student success programming, and retention. She holds a Master of Arts in linguistics from the University of Illinois at Chicago and is the current Chair of the International Education Council (IEC) of Missouri and Illinois.
