Opera Libretti and Stage Sets

Essex - contains a total of 903 libretti, mainly of nineteenth-century European operas. A few American items such as Bristow's Rip van Winkle and Damrosch's The Scarlet Letter are included. Most of the libretti are American imprints.

Tollefsen - contains 351 libretti and a substantial number of opera scores.

Mohr - unique to the Mohr collection are over two hundred original sketches of stage settings and costumes for European opera productions of the works of contemporary composers.
